We’ve got some serious drama going on around here and it’s all about the color! I am diggin’ the deep purple walls that we just finished painting this week. And I’m dying to show you the room, but at this point there’s nothing much to share.
Okay, okay… here’s a quick peek.
I have a hard time waiting to open Christmas presents too. True Story.
We painted the room using Glidden’s DUO: Paint + Primer. The color: Regal Purple.
I was concerned when we picked it out that it would have too much energy for a bedroom, but it really suits my girl. It’s dramatic and cheery and we all keep walking into the room and saying “WOW”!
This paint was A-MAH-ZING! Seriously… we got complete coverage in two coats.
Also, I think it’s so pretty with the Enchanted Duvet by KAS that we ordered from Bed, Bath & Beyond.
And now for the fun part… bringing everything back in and ACCESSORIZING! I’ve found some great storage solutions and I picked up this cute guy that I can’t wait to put in the room. Unfortunately, it will be another month before he makes his grand debut.
Since my last post about the Pinterest Challenge was incredibly long (sorry), I thought I’d keep this one brief. We are spending the weekend getting things put away in the girlie’s room and getting the rest of the house back to normal. That means a lot of purging that will need to be done. And, I could seriously use your input. What are your favorite tips for storage? How do you keep young people organized? And what am I suppose to do with a truck load of stuffed animals?! I think I’m going to need all the help I can get!

Great teaser! The purple looks amazing. I’m really looking forward to seeing it all put together. It’s very a great shade too… very grown up. Perfect with the duvet!
Is that moulding or did you guys do a paint line of white? Either way, it looks incredible.

It’s very a great shade (oops)… it’s REALLY a great shade. I’m a little too excited and can’t type. HA HA!

Thanks… I’m truly liking it! We added the moulding and the crown when we painted the room last time. It’s made it a thousand times easier this go around. Tess actually wanted to remove the moulding or paint it green. She got vetoed on both. Sometimes we’re mean parents. 🙂

You are… so mean, Danielle! I wish my mom would have been as mean as you growing up… to force me to paint my room and decorate it exactly as I wanted. EVIL WOMAN! 🙂

Trunks. Any kind of trunks. Get one paint it to match the room decor. Or keep it in the closet. She’s too old for the Trofast from IKEA (which saves my ass) but I am a huge addict of floating wall shelves for books. I had a lot as a teen in my room and put one long one over my bed back then. However this was not to block the insane wallpaper wall of magazine tear outs that infuriated my Dad. The Purple paint is much better.

Ooh… trunks are a great idea! And I love the idea of putting up some shelves. Tess actually surprised me today by suggesting a spot for a shelf and it’s the perfect spot. Thanks for the suggestions!
